Terms of Service

By using faster-now (the "Service", "we", "us") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service does

faster-now lets you connect a Specialized e-bike to your computer over USB and read and change its configuration parameters (including speed setting, wheel circumference and firmware) from your web browser. The Service is a configuration and diagnostics tool.

2. Eligibility & your responsibility

You may only use the Service on a bike that you own or are authorized to service. You are solely responsible for how you configure and use your bike.

⚠️ Authorized / off-road use only. Increasing your speed setting above the pedelec limit in your region generally makes the bike no longer road-legal and may classify it as a moped or motorcycle requiring registration, insurance and a licence. You are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations that apply to you, and for any consequences of using a reconfigured bike on public roads.

3. Activation & payment

Configuration requires a one-time activation per bike of €199 (or the equivalent shown at checkout), processed by Stripe. After activation, future parameter changes for that bike are included at no additional charge. Prices include applicable VAT where required.

4. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular result (including any speed, range or performance) will be achieved.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, nor for damage to your bike or its components, loss of warranty from the manufacturer, fines, accidents, injury, or legal consequences arising from your use of the Service or of a reconfigured bike. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected bike.

6. Manufacturer independence

faster-now is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Specialized Bicycle Components or any other manufacturer. Product names are used only to indicate compatibility.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service unlawfully, attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer the Service, or resell access without our agreement (dealers excepted under a separate arrangement).

8. Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
